Graduates & current participants in the DCCoI / LEO Galway run course ‘Building Craft & Design Enterprise’ to open a Pop Up Shop for the 2 weeks of the Galway International Arts Festival
Looking to see what’s going on locally in the design & craft sector? Then you’ll want to visit the Creative Makers Galway Pop Up shop in the Cornstore in Galway city between July 17th – July 30th. Creative Makers Galway is a group of established designer / makers who have either graduated or are currently undertaking the Design & Craft Council of Ireland’s ‘Building Craft & Design Enterprise’ programme, in conjunction with the LEO Galway ( Local Enterprise Office ).
The Pop Up shop will be set up in the Mall in the Cornstore, in the heart of Galway City, for the duration of the Galway International Arts Festival. Supported by Creative Ireland, the DCCoI, and LEO Galway, this pop up will showcase an extensive range of beautiful crafts produced locally, including jewellery, candles, soaps, woodturning, furniture, textiles, ceramics, and art.
Over the two weeks, the public will have a unique opportunity to view and purchase directly from these talented makers, and hear their stories and inspiration behind their creations. Following on from the Pop Up Shop the group ran in October 2016, this second Pop Up Shop will showcase new collections & work from all the members, & will also provide insight into the growth and progress made through participating in the programme.
